The Worst Oppressor Is The Hopeful Millionaire

As we chart through life, we encounter different types of people including those who often oppress us or we witness them oppressing others. And historically, we have been an oppressed group of people, racially so. So, it becomes easier to see a person who aims to oppress others.

Generally, oppressors are people in positions of power, those who have the resources, and the financial means compared to others. But there are worst kinds of oppressors which many do not pay attention to, and those are the formerly oppressed hopeful millionaires.

You may have probably heard someone saying, "never give a black person power", or utterances such as "black people in higher positions treat other black people the worst". And these are in comparison to other racial groups in the same categories. I personally do not a 100% agree to these sentiments but I find some truth in them. Not all black people evolve to being horrible once they find themselves in such positions.

However, there is a huge percentage where an element of oppression to other black people by those who have been afforded some form of positions of power do so. They tend to be more malevolent all of a sudden.

So, what could be the cause of all this?

The main cause lies in the historical unpleasant experiences black people have endured over the years. Which then translates into needing to make others feel like how you were made to feel. But this oppression gets directed to those beneath you. It's not entirely a matter of race, it is that black people are generally at the bottom of any hierarchy, in any aspects. Hence the ones below the one in the position of power tend to be the one's oppressed, which are fellow native Africans.

This often happens in corporate organizations and business, where one gets monetary rewarded for their service and value. These monetary rewards can be massive to a point where one sees themselves becoming literal millionaires through those rewards. And that alone is the precursor of what the person then becomes.

The hope of being a millionaire, makes one not to allow anything or anyone getting into their way of acquiring that status. Moreover, because of the financial rewards that they may already have, they see themselves as better than those with less money. Which eventually makes them view them as inferior and somewhat less humane. Hence they then oppress those they see as beneath them.

From afar, this seems only to be done by black people, but not really. It seems so because black people are the racial group that never had the resources, let alone having being a millionaire. Therefore, this behaviour is easily identified in this racial group.

This translates through to entrepreneurship as well. The person that views having money as the ultimate goal of life is the one that will oppress his workers and even associates. Of course, the aim of business is to make money, the problem arises when money supersedes humility, empathy, and compassion.

Such individuals are the most dangerous types of oppressors. There may be other forms, but the hopeful millionaire is the worst kind of an oppressor.

The oppression of another has never been good nor glorified, but the oppression by those who worship money is the worst kind.

Just as the bible verse Timothy 6:10 states:

"For the love of money is the root of all evil"

This verse speaks to such individuals. These individuals can go to unimaginable lengths to acquire the money they dearly desire. As we may have seen, others murder their loves ones, sacrifice their relationships, betray those close to them, purely for the acquisition of money. This is also often done by those in positions of power.

In conclusion, be wary of your desire to accumulate too much money, also be careful of those around you who worship money and hope to be millionaires someday.

Those who place the acquisition of money over everything are the ones who will oppress you the most when the opportunity to do so arises.
