For a Better You, Create an Alter Ego

Many fail at reaching their desired outcomes and goals because of their lived life experiences and self-image. Our self-image and the beliefs we hold can either build or limit us, and this applies to all parts of our lives.

Sometimes we have self-limiting beliefs, low self-confidence, unnecessary fears, and a lack of belief in ourselves. All these are formed by our lived personal experiences, all dependent on what our childhood and upbringing were like.

Some do not have any of these negative attributes and feelings. But many do.

As we go through life, we navigate it with all these negative emotions and attributes which result in us not performing to our optimum levels, not being as productive as we should, and not being able to accomplish and acquire even the things that are destined to be ours.

With such negative attributes, we therefore remain the same, we remain stagnant, even when we deeply know we should be doing better and having way better lives than what we may currently have.

This is because we live within ourselves even when our own selves work against us.

The cure to this is to detach yourself from your lived negative experiences that form all the negative attributes such as being fearful, having negative self-talk, people-pleasing, and having limiting beliefs.

That cure is to create an alter ego.

An alter ego is an alternate self, which is distinct from your "normal" personality.

Finding an alter ego is to find your other self, the one that has a different personality. Your other self that is detached from all the experiences and the negative attributes that your "normal" personality may possess.

To create an alter ego is to create the person you want to become. You create the person who does not have all the negative attributes that may be holding you back. You embody the qualities of a powerful alter ego, that can easily shift your mindset and beliefs about yourself, leading you to improved performance and a better version of yourself.

It is also called "The Batman Effect", as it allows us to discard the undesirable feelings of anxiety and fear. And increases our perseverance when faced with challenges, increases our belief in accomplishing anything no matter the circumstances, and boosts our self-control.

At times, we fail at achieving what we set to because of what and who we currently are. However, developing an alter ego transitions you from who you are to who should be.

If are an athlete, you can embody your alter ego when you get onto the field or track, when you are a performer, you can embody your alter ego when you get on stage, when you are in corporate, you can embody your alter ego when faced with challenging work tasks.

This will improve your performance as you embody your alternate self, the one that can outperform anyone and does not have any anxiety and fear, or any negative attributes that your normal self has - which limits you.

So, to be a better version of yourself and operate at your optimum level, you ought to create an alter ego. Identify all feelings and behaviors that are limiting you then create an alter ego that is directly opposite.

Just like Peter Parker changes into Spiderman when he has to execute the necessary tasks, so should you.

When a need arises, you should be able to turn into your alter ego and do what is required of you at your ultimate best. With no past lived negative experiences and traumas lingering at the back of your mind.

...and then sit back and see how your life improves as you seize all the opportunities presented to you and utilize them in immensely amazing ways.

You may be shocked at your abilities and all the things you can do. You are just limited by your current persona.
