We all somewhat want to be intelligent or smart (if we aren't already). Who would enjoy being regarded as dumb or stupid anyway? No one.
With that, most individuals who are more intelligent than an average person in their surroundings encounter some negative things - which are directly linked to their level of intellect and how it plays out in their day to day lives. Here are some of the bad things that most smart individuals have to deal with:
1. If you are really smart, 49.5% of people mistake you for being stupid or mad, and 49.5% try to harm you out of sheer jealousy, rivalry and insecurity. The remaining 1% who really understand you and appreciate you for who you are may take you a long time to come across.
2. You constantly have to behave like an ignorant person in order to appear normal in front of those 99%. You underplay your intelligence as a protective shield so you aren't isolated and so you're regarded as "normal" as the rest.
3. Friends are hard to find. You’re too weird for people; they are too weird for you.
4. You get more stressed out with stupidity and ignorance of people around you than with problems and difficulties. Expressing your opinion is almost always viewed as rebellion, indiscipline or disrespect.
5. You tend to feel lonely in crowd. People think you’re friendless and pity you for your supposed loneliness. When you’re together with ‘friends’ you feel lonely and smothered.
